Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions cover all sales of products and services by Sym-Z CompUtec Ltd to the purchaser. By placing an order or requesting a service, the Buyer agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Order Acceptance

All orders and service requests placed by the Buyer are subject to acceptance by Sym-Z CompUtec. Sym-Z CompUtec reserves the right to reject any order or service request at its sole discretion.

3. Discounts and Pricing

    a. Discounts: Buyer acknowledges that any discounts applied to the purchase are valid only per the terms specified in the sales agreement or promotion. Discounts are not transferrable or refundable and may be subject to certain conditions, such as minimum order quantities or deadlines.

    b. Pricing: All prices for products and services are as stated on the Sym-Z CompUtec website or in the order confirmation at the time of order placement. Prices may be subject to change without prior notice, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

4. Payment Terms

    a. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total order amount is required at the time of order placement. This deposit secures the order and confirms the Buyer’s commitment to the purchase. For repair services, the deposit contributes towards the overall cost of the service, including any parts required to complete the work.

    b. Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion and delivery of products or services. Final payment must be made in full before products are handed over or services completed. Payment must be made via the agreed payment method (e.g., credit card, debit card, bank transfer).

5. Repair Services

    a. Diagnostics: Where a diagnostic assessment is required prior to repair, Sym-Z CompUtec will provide a clear assessment of the fault and recommended solution before any repair work begins. No repair work will commence without the Buyer’s approval.

    b. Data Responsibility: Sym-Z CompUtec takes all reasonable care when handling customer devices. However, it is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure all important data is backed up prior to any repair or service. Sym-Z CompUtec accepts no liability for data loss during the repair process unless caused by our direct negligence.

    c. Confidentiality: Any personal data encountered on customer devices during the repair process will be treated with strict confidentiality and will not be accessed beyond what is necessary to complete the repair.

    d. Unsuccessful Repairs: In the event that a repair cannot be completed, the Buyer will be notified promptly. Any deposit paid will be reviewed on a case by case basis depending on work carried out and parts ordered.

    e. Turnaround Times: All turnaround times provided are estimates and not guaranteed. Sym-Z CompUtec will communicate any delays promptly and provide updated timelines where possible.

6. Collection and Delivery

Collection and delivery dates are estimated and not guaranteed. Sym-Z CompUtec will endeavour to deliver products and return repaired devices in a timely manner to all local areas. For larger orders, third party delivery partners may be used, with customer delivery details shared solely for fulfilment purposes.

7. Cancellations

    a. Buyer Cancellation: The Buyer may cancel an order or service request prior to work commencing. The non-refundable deposit will be retained to cover any administrative or parts costs already incurred.

    b. Sym-Z CompUtec Cancellation: In the unlikely event that Sym-Z CompUtec is unable to fulfil an order or service, the Buyer will be notified promptly and any deposit paid will be refunded in full.

8. Returns and Refunds

    a. Return Policy: Returns are accepted within 14 days from the delivery date, subject to the following conditions. The Buyer must obtain written authorisation from Sym-Z CompUtec before returning any products.

    b. Refunds: Refunds will be processed once the item has been returned and inspected. A refund will be issued to the original payment method, minus the non-refundable deposit.

    c. Defective Products: In the event of a defect or damage to a product upon delivery, the Buyer must notify Sym-Z CompUtec within 7 days of receipt. Sym-Z CompUtec will at its discretion repair, replace, or issue a refund for the defective product.

9. Warranty

    a. Used and Refurbished Products: Warranty terms for used and refurbished products are determined on a case by case basis, taking into account the value and condition of the item. Warranty terms will be clearly communicated at the point of sale.

    b. New Products and Builds: New products and custom builds are covered by a 1 year warranty provided by Sym-Z CompUtec for defects under normal use. Individual components may also carry their own manufacturer warranties, which may exceed this period. Details of applicable manufacturer warranties will be provided at the point of sale. Any manufacturer warranty claims beyond the Sym-Z CompUtec warranty period will require direct engagement with the relevant manufacturer, with Sym-Z CompUtec providing reasonable assistance where possible.

    c. Repair Services: All repair work carries a warranty period appropriate to the nature of the work carried out. If the same fault reoccurs within the warranty period, Sym-Z CompUtec will reassess and resolve it at no additional charge. Warranty terms will be confirmed at the point of service completion.

10. Limitation of Liability
Sym-Z CompUtec’s liability is limited to the total amount paid by the Buyer for the specific products or services involved in any claim. Under no circumstances will Sym-Z CompUtec be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data loss.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
Sym-Z CompUtec reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Sym-Z CompUtec website or provided to the Buyer in writing. Continued use of services following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Entire Agreement

This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Sym-Z CompUtec Ltd and the Buyer concerning the sale of products and services, and supersedes all prior communications, whether written or oral.
